What temperature drop can we expect?
It depends on four factors: the volume to treat, heat gains, openings and the local climate. We only state it once we have measured them during the site survey.
Does it work with the doors open?
Yes — and it needs them. The system works on fresh air: the air blown in has to be able to leave again through doors, windows or roof vents. That is what makes it possible in a workshop or under a marquee, and it is also a condition for it to work.
How is it different from air conditioning?
There is no compressor: only the fan and the pump draw power. There is no refrigerant either — in Switzerland a stationary installation holding more than 3 kg of refrigerant must be declared to the Federal Office for the Environment, and handling it requires a permit.
Are there cases where it works badly?
Yes. The effect is greatest in hot, dry air and weaker in humid weather, since it relies on evaporation. We say so before installation, not after.
What is needed on site?
For a mobile unit: a 230 V socket and water — its tank holds 130 to 300 litres depending on the model, and can also be fed continuously. For a fixed unit: a 230 or 400 V supply and a plumbed water connection. This is surveyed on site.
Can a temporary venue be equipped?
Yes, that is where the mobile units come in: marquees, festivals, trade fairs, work areas that change with the season.
Which units do you offer?
Two formats. The mobile units on castors come in four models — RS-A13C, RS-A15C, RS-A20C and RS-A23C — from 13,000 to 23,000 m³/h, running from a single-phase 230 V socket. The fixed units, on the roof or the façade with supply ducts, come in nine sizes, from 20,000 to 60,000 m³/h, with an axial or a centrifugal fan. The full data sheet for the model chosen is handed over with the survey.
What do you need to start the survey?
The site and the municipality, the floor area and the ceiling height, what happens there and what gives off heat, and the period to cover. With those four details we know what to come and measure.
